Making Gold at Northrend | Farm At The Best Spots

WoW offer very vast selection of gold making, including crafting items, gather materials, Auction House, etc. Despite all that selections, apparently most of us still cling to the old ways of making gold: farming.

Bashing monsters while earning gold is a great way to testing your skill and gear while having fun at the same time. I have prepared a list of farming spots in Northrend where you can gain proper amount of gold per hour. If you are looking for information on early level farming, I recommend that you check gold farming guide.

If you have reached Northrend, here’s the list:

1. The Storm Peaks
Mobs:
– Scion of Storm (level 78); has one in three chances to give you Relic of Ulduar and 26% probabilty in dropping Crystallized Air.
– Seething Revenant (level 79); have 34% chances to drop Relic of Ulduar, 26% chances to drop Crystallized Fire.
– Icebound Revenant (level 78); has 22% probability in dropping Crystallized Water.
– Nascent Val’kyr (level 78); always drop Dissolved Soul Essence, 0.5% probability in dropping Fractured Scarlet Ruby.
– Valkyrion Aspirant (level 74); have 29% chances to drop Frostweave Cloth, 41% chances to drop Relic of Ulduar.

2. Wintergrasp (PvP territory)
Mobs:
– Tempest Revenant (level 80); have 100% chance to drop Crystallized Air.
Water Revenant (level 80); nearly always gives you Crystallized Water.
– Shadow Revenant (level 80); have 99% chances to drop Crystallized Shadow.
– Flame Revenant (level 80); have 99% chances to drop Crystallized Fire.
– Earthbound Revenant (level 80); definitely will gives you Crystallized Earth.
Note that these mobs can only be seen with the ‘Essence of Wintergrasp’ buff.

3. Icecrown
Mobs:
– Converted Hero (level 79); have 40% chances to drop Frostweave Cloth. For every pack, there is about six mobs included; so the strategy is round them up and finish them quickly, thus you can have proper gold per hour rate.

4. Dragonblight
Start from south of Venomspite and keep moving south while taking down every mobs that you encounter. Most of them are humanoid type, so you’ll gain gold from them as well as various items. If your level is high enough, you can finish them quickly without much difficulties (most of the NPC are between level 70 and 73).

When you reach The Forgotten Shore, sweep the coast line for more mobs, then get to the ship and kill even more mobs. By the time you have done, the previous mobs should have respawn  already, so go back to where you came from and repeat the whole process.

Important thing to do: before starting anything, go to AH and check the current item price, thus you can go for the highest payout. Of course, checking prices is only a basic thing to do, check gold secrets review for more advanced AH method to maximize your earning from farming.

With so many options in gold making, obviously one will be better than the other. For example, an expert Auction House player can generate gold in just relatively short time compared to the other player that mining ore for hours. Despite that fact, farming is still a very powerful gold making strategy as long as you have the knowledge on WHERE and WHAT to farm. Find the answer for this in the list of best gold guides at how to make wow gold.

WoW Guide | Boosting Your Horde Character Leveling Speed

No matter in which faction you belong, the quickest way to reach maximum level is the same: completing quest after quest toward level 80. This is an absolute requirement in a real horde leveling guide; not only the quests to take, it should also provide step by step instructions so you always know what to do or where to go next.

Note that this is a guide for Horde character, if you are looking for the one for Alliance faction, check Alliance leveling guide.

Each race has its own starter zone, so you will have different quests at first and a few of class specific quests later; but after you reach Ogrimmar, the same quests series apply for all Horde character. For instance, if you playing as Blood Elf, you need to take these quests first:

1. Reclaiming Sunstrider Isle from Magistrix Erona.

2. Unfortunate Measures from Magistrix Erona.

3. Well Watcher Solanian from Well Watcher Solanian at the Sunspire on Sunstrider Isle.

4. Solanian’s Belongings from Well Watcher at the Sunspire on Sunstrider Isle.

5. The Shrine of Dath’Remar from Well Watcher Solanian at the Sunspire on Sunstrider Isle.

6. A Fistful of Slivers from Arcanist Ithanas on Sunstrider Isle.

7. Thirst Unending from Arcanist Helion at Eversong Woods.

8. Report to Lanthan Perilon from Magistrix Erona.

12. Aiding the Outrunners from Outrunner Alarion near the bridge leading south of Sunstrider Isle.

13. Slain by the Wretched from Outrunner Alarion.

14. Completing the Delivery from Outrunner Alarion.

16. Unstable Mana Crystals from Aeldon Sunbrand at Falconwing Square.

17. Wanted: Thaelis the Hungerer from wanted poster.

18. Delivery to the North Sanctum from Magister Jaronis at Falconwing Square.

19. Malfunction at the West Sanctum from Ley-Keeper Velania at the West Sanctum in Eversong Woods.

23. The Dwarven Spy from Aeldon Sunbrand.

24. Fairbreeze Village from Aeldon Sunbrand.

25. Roadside Ambush from Apprentice Ralen.

Completing those 25 quests will take you to level 8. To gain maximum result, you have to know where you must go next and what to get there; that way, you can complete several quests in one go or at least obtain some nearby necessary items at once.

Later when you hit level 12, you have the option to switch zones (eg: Barrens, Ghostlands, Silverpine) and taking quests there or keep questing at your own zone. Either way, if you keep following the right quests series, you should arrive at Ogrimmar without grinding and equipped with fair gear. From there, the same Horde leveling guide applies to all races. These are the quests in order:

1. Ziz Fizziks from Sputtervalve at Ratchet.

2. Goblin Invaders from Seereth Stonebreak on the border of Stonetalon and the Barrens.

3. Arachnophobia from Wanted Poster: Besseleth.

8. Journey to Hillsbrad Foothills from Apothecary Renferrel at Undercity.

9. Beren’s Peril from Shadow Priest Allister at the Sepulcher.

10. Time To Strike from Deathstalker Lesh at Undercity.

11. Elixir of Suffering from Apothecary Lydon at Undercity.

12. Elixir of Pain from Apothecary Lydon.

13. Battle of Hillsbrad from High Executor Darthalia in Tarren Mill.

14. The Rescue from Krusk in Tarren Mill.

15. WANTED: Syndicate Personnel from wanted poster in front of the curch in Tarren Mill.

16. Dangerous! from High Executor Darthalia in Tarren Mill.

17. Souvenirs of Death from Deathguard Samsa of Tarren Mill.

By the time you finish these 17 quests, you should hit level 24 already. Remember that efficiency plays an important role here; you must complete as many tasks as possible in one go an keep the pace all the way to level 80.

You can also level your profession on the way if you want. For example: if you took mining you can mine at various nodes that scattered in your path; read everything about mining at world of warcraft mining guide. Obviously, this detour will reduce your leveling speed.

Quick leveling by utilizing the quests series doesn’t has to be difficult or complicated; read how the famous name in Horde leveling guide for years can boost your leveling speed via quests series at Joana’s Leveling Guide Review.

Gold Guide | Discover the Best Farming Locations

Farming is killing certain mob in certain location to earn gold and loots from it; even though it is an old and simple ways to make gold, it is still a powerful method if used correctly. By using a good gold farming guide, you can farm at the best zones, locations, or instances; kill the monsters in the quickest way possible and earn your loots immediately; and selecting the best class for maximum results.

This is not a detailed gold farming guide, but I’ll try to reveal as much as I can. If you just created your character, it is impossible to farm effectively, so go and grab a couple of quests, earning experience, gain several copper or silver, and get your character to level 15.

If you have reached level 15, there are tow alternatives. If you are in the Alliance faction, go to Gold Coast area in Westfall to look for Defias Windmill. There are a lot of Defias mobs around the windmill that drop linen cloth and other good humanoid loot. They are around level 12, so you should be able to kill them easily; you also don’t need to worry about running out mobs to kill since they respawn quickly.

If you are in Horde faction, you can go to The Barrens and start killing Great Plainstrider. It has pretty high chance to drop Light Feather, which is sold well at the AH. It also have some chance to drop adequate weapons and armors like Native Sash or Fire Wand.

An iron rule in early level farming is always keep your bag empty as much as possible; you can do it by selling all your trash whenever you find a vendor. If you happen to be in a condition where your bag is full and there is no vendor around, throw away the less valuable items and keep the higher value ones.

Note that you can mix farming with other gold making methods for even more gold. For example, take mining profession and mine at nodes near your farming spot; read more about mining at world of warcraft mining guide. For other alternatives, check the list of gold making methods at WoW gold making guide.

These are some good farming spots for higher level character:

1. Alterac Mountains in Eastern Kingdoms; kill Elemental Slave here, they have slight chances to drop elemental earth that sell well at the Auction House.

2. Scarlet Monastery Graveyard in Trisfal Glades; hunt for Unfettered Spirit, it is easier than other monsters and the drops also quite good.

3. The Badlands in Eastern Kingdoms; find normal Rock Elemental for lots of grey loots such as Lifeless Stone and Jagged Piece of Stone.

4. Searing Gorge in Eastern Kingdom; kills the elites here and get your Mageweave Cloth.

5. Felwood in Kalimdor; find the Deadwoods as they drop silver, Living Essences, rare herb, and major healing potions.

6. Shalzaru’s Lair at the northern end of the Isle of Dread; get the Nagas here for Golden Pearl drops.

7. Deadwind Pass in Eastern Kingdoms; get Deadwind Ogre Mage for Runecloth drop.

8. Arklon Ruins in Netherstorm, Outland; look for Artifac Seeker and Fellblade Doomguard for Mark of Sargeras and Fel Armament.

9. Dragonblight in Northrend; from Venomspite, go south until you reach the shore while killing all humanoid mobs in your way to gain gold and many other loots.

10. Wintergrasp in Northrend; ready for some challenge? This PvP zone will make farming even more difficult, but you’ll find various Revenant here that drop Crystallized Air, Water, Shadow, Fire, and Earth.

There are a lot of other farming spots that offer you good gold per hour rate; you only need to know what to kill and the fastest method to do so. For the best gold farming guide, I strongly recommend Gold Secrets. Why? Find the answer in Gold Secrets review.

How To Massing Gold In World of Warcraft

With the recent development in MMORPG world, providing various ways to make gold seems to be standard feature and WoW is no exception, thus a good wow gold making guide usually include them all, or highly focused on one of them. Farming is #1 choice for most of WoW players since it can be done while leveling and allow you to obtain gears at your level.

Farming is still great way to make gold; having proper gears and good farming location can give you ample amount of gold per hour, but in this wow gold making guide I want to show you some other techniques that you may haven’t heard of.

1. Doing Quests
There are a lot of quests in WoW and simply doing all of them won’t do since one quest doesn’t has the same value as the other. Selecting the right quests in the right order can increase your leveling speed; gain ample amount of gold; and keep your gears updated all the way toward level 80. Even after hit level 80 you still can do daily quests in Northrend to obtain fair gold and reputation, check the best guide to finish dailies in the shortest time possible at Dugi’s Dailies Review.

2. Farming
A method that vastly used to earn gold by killing monsters in a certain area to get their item drops. This can be done by a low level character in a low level area or a group of high level characters doing instance runs. The two keys here: first, choose the right place and time to do it; second, pick the item drop that in high demand in the Auction House. If everything are “click” perfectly you can get decent gold from this method by selling your item drops at the Auction House.

3. Pick a Gatherer Profession
Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning are examples of gathering professions in WoW. Having one of these professions, you will be the one who supply the market with raw material or ingredients like gold, silver, stones, herbs, leather, hides, fish, and scales. Other professions such as Jewelcrafting and Engineering will process these materials further. With constant demand in materials for various recipes, there are much gold that can be made here. Just remember to collect the items that in high demand and put it in the Auction House after doing a little market research to decide the proper price. The other alternative is form a partnership with a crafter where you will supply him/her at reasonable price.

4. Being a Crafter
A crafter profession is the one who process the raw material further so it can be used by other players. Jewelcrafting, Engineering, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Alchemy, and Inscription are examples of the crafter professions. However, for these professions you will need gold to maxed your skill level and buy materials or ingredients. You can get your materials or ingredients at Auction House, but if you craft something regularly you might want to form a contract with a gatherer so you can have steady supplies at reasonable price. In some cases, you can have lower price by using the last method.

5. Auction House: Buy Low Sell High
I used to think that Auction House is only reserved for veteran player with enough gold at their pocket, but with continually evolved AH method, now you can start generating serious gold at AH with as little as 4 silver in your hand. Check the story at WoW Auction Mastery Review.
Like the title said, the idea is buy items at lower price than you will sell it; it sound simple but require good knowledge on the current supply and demand. A simple method is watching trade channel for a hot item you want, then start bargaining to attain the lowest price possible. Some other wow gold making guide might recommend different strategies, but all of it are based on the same principle: buy at low price and sell at high price.

6. Auction House: Being a Monopolist

This method will require decent amount of gold in your pocket since you will stock large amount of certain items and can’t expect result immediately. The basic for this method is identifying potential item at the market that you can monopolize; after that, you buy ALL of it at the AH, thus makes it gone from AH. Then, as the sole supplier of that item, you put it at the Auction House with a new higher price. For a period of time, people will not buy it since they are still used to the old price. During this time, keep check the Auction House and buy the item from all other people who put it less than your price. After some time, people will start to accept the new price and you can sell your stock to gain profit.

Keep in mind that this method is not always works smoothly because there is possibility that once people see the price going up, they will gather the item more intesively and flood the AH with it. If you see too many people put the item at the Auction House and too risky to buy them all, sell the remaining of your stock, have little profit, and move to different commodities.

With the various factors in WoW economy, people will always find a better ways to make gold in WoW. Check How to Make WoW Gold to check the current best WoW gold making guide that continually updated and see how your gold problem dissolve into thin air.

Holy Priest Guide | Discover The Best Talent Build

As a priest, you can choose whether to go with the Holy path or the Shadow path. Both path have very different talent build and role in the game. In this guide, the main focus is the Holy Priest path, so I will describe the talent build for that path.

Basically, there are two big ‘major’ for those who play priest: the “Holy Priest”, which is your typical healing-support priest and “Shadow Priest” which is focus on killing skills. Note that while I can provide you with the talent build, the best ways to cover the other aspects of the game such as fast leveling and gold making is still by using a guide. Why? See the answer at World of Warcraft Strategy Guide.

Priest Talent Builds
First, you will want to invest on Healing Focus and Improved Renew. Put two points in Healing Focus and 3 in Improved Renew; it is important that you can heal more without interruption.

Your next tasks is get Spell Warding and Divine Fury to maximum level to raise your survivability. Add one point to Desperate Player, it will heal you instantly,  also another skill to prolong your life.

Maxing Holy Reach will give you 20% extra range for six different spells, keep you in safe distance while maintaining the survivability of your group members. Improved Healing is need to be maxed as well since it will reduce the mana cost for five different spells.

Conserve your mana with Healing Prayers; at max, you can get 20% mana cost reduction for two spells. Spirit of Redemption will only useful if you die, which is the worst scenario for any group during battle, but by having this one you can save your group from total annihilation; so definitely invest one point here.

Obviously, you will not be the damage dealer when you are in a group, but adding 5 points to Spiritual Guidance is not a bad idea since it will give you fighting ability for unpredictable situations.

Different Priest Leveling Guide suggest different approach for Surge of Light; if you are planning to use Smite and Flash Heal a lot at higher level, take this talent, otherwise just leave it. As for Spiritual Healing, you definitely want this as a Holy Priest since it will increase your healing spells by 10%.

A Lightwell will benefit the entire group during a raid; it heal anyone in your group that click it. The healing will takes time, but it is good to preserve your mana and time.

Put two points in Empowered Healing to boost your greater healing and three in Serendipity to reduce your next spell casting; these will open the next talents.

These next three talents are very important for a Holy Priest; I suggest that you maxed all of them. Empowered Renew will make your Renew heal the target instantly; Circle of Healing allowing you to heal up to five friendly party or raid members within range; Test of Faith increase healing rate on a party members whose health below 50%, increase the probability to save him/her.

These two last talents have many variation in different Priest Leveling Guide, some will say to invest the rest of the points in the Discipline Tree, but for this build, I will include it as well. Put three points in Divine Providence to gain access to the next talent; three points will give you 6% boost in some healing spells. The last in the holy tree, Guardian Spirit, can make your tank even harder, thus make it easier for you to keep him/her alive during unpredictable situation.

As a Holy Priest, you will want to spend the last 20 points on the Discipline Tree to increase your survivability. Keeping yourself alive comes first before maintain the others health and a group will be in a very disadvantage when their healer dies, so these are how to spend the rest of your points:

  1. Unbreakable Will; reduce the duration of various side effects, enable you to back into battle faster.
  2. Silent Resolve; make your helpfull spells and DoT spells become harder to dispelled.
  3. Improved Power Word: Fortitude; increase Fortitude and Prayer Fortitude by 30%.
  4. Martyrdom; gain Focused Casting effect for six seconds after getting hit by critical range or melee attack.
  5. Meditation; allow your 50% of your mana regeneration continue even as you casting spells.
  6. Inner Focus; cut down the mana cost for your next spell by 100% and raising its critical rate by 25%.
  7. Improved Power Word: Shield; boost Shield word by 15%.

This priest leveling guide is focus on priest talent builds; as for leveling places you can visit instances dungeon with your group or leveling through quests. Quests is far better because you will get your gears as rewards, so don’t have to spend gold for it; it also a lot faster way to reach maximum level (IF you are do it in the correct order). Check the easy ways to do this at world of warcraft leveling guide.

Note: if healing and support is your favorite role, you may interested to play a Holy Paladin in PvP arena. This class has tremendous impact on the tide of the battle in the right hand. Check the build at Paladin PvP Guide.
